Larry graduated with honors from Oklahoma State University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering and an Associate degree in Engineering Management. His career associations prior to starting Outback Royalty Interests, LLC were Northern Natural Gas Company, Chevron, U.S.A. Production Company, Kinder Morgan CO2, Inc., and as an independent consultant including oil and gas prospect development and execution. He has also lead two successful start-up companies in the Oil and Gas Industry. Larry has over 45 years of varied experience in the exploration and production disciplines of the Oil and Gas industry, which include drilling, reservoir analysis, production/completion design, field operations, property acquisitions and sales, and a high degree of economic and development planning/execution.
Before transitioning as an independent consultant Larry was Manager of Production Engineering, SACROC Unit for Kinder Morgan CO2, Inc. and Corporate Technical Advisor in completion technology for Chevron USA. He has also served as Chairman of Petroleum Technology Board of Directors, Midland College, Midland, Texas; Member of the Board of Directors for the Snyder, Texas Section of S.P.E.; and Member of the Midland, Texas S.P.E. Operations Study Group Steering Committee. He has authored five S.P.E. papers, four of which were presented at various Annual S.P.E. Technical Conference and Exhibitions as well as publications in Oil Gas European Magazine, The American Oil & Gas Reporter Magazine, Oil & Gas Journal, Chevron Focus Corporate Magazine, and World Oil Magazine. In addition Larry obtained worldwide industry recognition for his accomplishments and sponsorship of application growth in the field of coiled tubing technology.
Larry and his wife Suzanne have been married for over 42 years and enjoy God’s gift of a son, daughter-in-law, and grandchild. Larry is a life time member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, enjoys studying the Bible, golf, antique car restoration, and music.
Suzanne graduated with honors from Northern Oklahoma College in 1976 with an Associate of Science degree in Secretarial Science. Suzanne’s career associations prior to Outback Royalty Interests, LLC include Hardline Store Manager for Wal-Mart, Executive Secretary Accounts Receivable for Conoco, and Corporate Secretary/Treasurer for SKL Technologies, Inc. With her primary focus on motherhood Suzanne generated time to actively participate in the Meals on Wheels program and serve in various church committees inclusive of church teller.
Suzanne and her husband Larry have been married for over 38 years and enjoy God’s gift of a son and daughter-in-law. Suzanne’s hobbies include crocheting, counted cross stitching, and antique collecting.
